After a 50-year successful career Elton John kicks off 300-city, 3-year tour as a final goodbye to fans.
The name of the tour 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' takes inspiration from the knighted piano player and singer's 1973 album 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.'
On Jan. 24, the 'Rocket Man' singer made the announcement at a press conference at New York's Gotham Hall. Elton John said, "I'm not going to be touring anymore, apart from this global tour which launches in September," noting he will bid his farewell with a 300-date, 3-year worldwide tour promoted by AEG Presents.
"My priorities have changed in my life. My priorities in my life are now my children, my husband and my family," he added.
Elton John's 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' will kick off at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania in September 2018, Europe in May 2019 and will visit 10 cities across the UK in 2020 and will add additional dates in South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The 70-year old musician promises an over-the-top production that will take fans through his decades-long career with Gucci outfits.
He also added that he will not be touring again after the 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour wraps — "...this is the end."
